*Fun Facts About Me*

🪁  If I could have any superpower, it would be to fly.
🍫 One of my favorite movies is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
🏖️ My favorite place to visit is the beach.
🍁  My favorite time of year is the fall.
🐸  My favorite sound is the sound of the tree frogs who sing to me in my backyard at night.
🧸  A silly thing about me is that I literally talk to the stuffed animals in my office and have named all of them, over 30 in total. My office was my Pediatric Occupational Therapy clinic, so it has all kinds of fun things in there. (See below for a few of my friends)

Sharon Y. Edlin lives in a whimsical world where dragonflies wink, trees listen, and the stuffed animals in her office talk back (very politely, of course). Now in her 50s, she still hasn't grown up—and hopes she never will.

She has been writing stories since the third grade, when she filled her very first notebook with imaginative adventures. That notebook still sits on her shelf today, a reminder that some dreams simply take a little longer to bloom. She still sees pictures in clouds, sings with the birds, and believes laughter might just be the best kind of magic. Her imagination has never stopped wandering, especially when it comes to giving voices to the characters most people would never expect to talk, from spiders and sea creatures to curious little creatures of her own making.

Today, Sharon is an award-winning children's author who brings the same heart to her books that she brought to more than 30 years as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and founder of Dragonfly Pediatric Therapy. Her playful, comforting stories help children feel safe, seen, and loved while celebrating kindness, courage, and being wonderfully yourself. To Sharon, success isn't measured by bestseller lists or sales. It's knowing that somewhere, one child curls up with one of her books and proudly says, "This one is my favorite."

Sharon lives in Alabama with her husband, a shelf full of story ideas, and a heart full of wonder.
