Sharon Y. Edlin is a witty Southern woman who has experienced the ups and downs of life and has lived to tell about them. She has written two novels in her 'Changes' series titled 'A Change of Plans' (book 1) and 'The Boiled Frog' (book 2), both found on Amazon. She is currently working on her third book titled 'Going In Blind' where she is spinning a tale centered around Ben, one of the most loved characters in her first book of this series.
Sharon has released three books in the 'Circus' memoir book series. This is her blog-turned-book series. These novels tell of the many adventures of not only blending a family of seven but about the challenges of being a woman and growing older. In this series, you will find loads of humor, wit, and honesty. In addition to the books mentioned above, she has also written two books for parents of kids with special needs. The newest second edition is titled 'The Dragonfly Approach: A practical guide of what to do after your child's diagnosis' and can be found under her pen name of Sharon Y. Mandeville-Edlin, OTR/L on Amazon. This is THE book to have on hand when you don't know which way to turn after your child has received a diagnosis or you are trying to figure out what might be going on with your child. She has had many readers tell her that not only have they learned about their child from this book, but they have learned a lot about themselves as well. The first edition is still available on Amazon. It is titled 'The Dragonfly Approach: A practical guide from a 'girlfriends' point of view and a professional one too for parents of children with or without special needs.' She has hit the bestseller list multiple times in her dreams, but in reality, that hasn't happened yet. She never gives up hope, however! The last two years of her life have brought many changes. She is nearing an empty nest, as all her kids are now in college. One has even graduated and is now married, making her a mother-in-law, though this doesn't seem possible. She has also changed careers from being a 30-year Pediatric Occupational Therapist to a Certified Medical Coder. She still resides in Alabama, where she is married to the man of her dreams and is a part of a seven-person blended family. She loves watching and listening to people as they are the best writing material around, whether they know it or not. |
