In addition to the books mentioned above, she has also written two books for parents of kids with special needs. The newest second edition is titled 'The Dragonfly Approach: A practical guide of what to do after your child's diagnosis' and can be found under her pen name of Sharon Y. This is THE book to have on hand when you don't know which way to turn after your child has received a diagnosis or you are trying to figure out what might be going on with your child. She has had many readers tell her that not only have they learned about their child from this book, but they have also learned a lot about themselves. The first edition is still available on Amazon. It is titled 'The Dragonfly Approach: A practical guide from a 'girlfriend's' point of view and a professional one too for parents of children with or without special needs.' She has hit the bestseller list multiple times in her dreams. In reality, however, that has yet to happen. But she never gives up hope! The last two years of her life have brought many changes. She is nearing an empty nest, as all her kids are now in college, living on their own, or married. She has also changed careers from being a 30-year Pediatric Occupational Therapist and practice owner to a Certified Medical Coder. She resides in Alabama, is married to the man of her dreams, and is part of a seven-person blended family. When she isn't coding, reading, walking, fishing, playing tennis, traveling, or having lunch with friends, you can find her watching and listening to people as they are the best writing material around. |
